How do I pass the Year One Foundation Program?
The Year One Foundation Program serves as the first year of a four-year bachelor’s degree program at the University of Alberta. This means that you’ll be a U of A student from day one and study the same courses as first-year students who aren't enrolled in the Year One Foundation Program. To progress to the second year, you’ll need to meet the progression requirements outlined in your letter of offer.

It’s a vibrant, fast-growing urban centre of over one million people, known as Canada’s “festival city,” with 50+ festivals taking place every year. What if I don’t qualify for the Year One Foundation Program?
If you don’t currently meet the entry requirements for the University of Alberta Year One Foundation Program, you may be able to join the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program to develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
