Where is the University of Oregon?
The University of Oregon is in the heart of Eugene, the second largest city in the state of Oregon on the West Coast of the USA. It’s less than two hours by car from the popular city of Portland, and an hour from the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Living here, you’ll be in between Washington and California, with Eugene’s airport — just 15 minutes away from campus — offering direct flights to major cities like Los Angeles and Seattle.

Are there any scholarship opportunities?
Yes! When you apply to the University of Oregon through Kaplan, you’ll be eligible for one of five renewable merit scholarships, ranging from $2,000–12,500. There is no additional scholarship application required — you’ll be automatically considered when you apply to UO if you meet the criteria.
Is the University of Oregon campus safe?
Absolutely. To make sure you always feel secure while living on campus, the University of Oregon Police Department (UOPD) operates 24 hours a day, all year round. UOPD’s staff includes police officers, public safety officers, security officers, and civilian staff. On the free UO mobile app, you can also access a range of safety resources, such as safe ride options for students.
